JOB DESCRIPTION
The Riverfront Development Corporation of Delaware (RDC) oversees the futures of the Brandywine and Christina Rivers. Established in 1995 with primary funding from the State of Delaware and additional contributions from the City of Wilmington and New Castle County, the RDC's mission is to promote economic vitality, while enhancing the environment, encouraging historic preservation, and promoting public access. The RDC acts as developer, construction manager, and leasing agent for the area. As a result of its continuing growth, the RDC is now adding an Executive Assistant to its staff.

The RDC Executive Assistant is responsible to support the Executive Director and the Director of Operations. The Executive Assistant screens calls, makes travel and meeting arrangements, prepares reports and financial data, oversees other support staff, and sets/promotes a tone of professionalism for the organization. The ideal Executive Assistant has a post-secondary education (degree, certification, or relevant coursework), a five-year history of increasingly-responsible administration experience, strong computer and Internet skills, proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of business tools (including Power Point), and highly polished interpersonal skills. The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

1. Administrative support for the Executive Director and Director of Operations.
2. Maintaining the schedule of the Executive Director.
3. Handling correspondence with Board of Directors, including meeting notices, meeting packets, meeting minutes, contact lists, and committee lists.
4. Managing special projects.
5. Maintaining project files.
6. Writing and typing correspondence.
7. Preparing multimedia presentations.
8. Processing requests for information via phone, mail or email and distributing organizational material.
9. Performing other duties as assigned.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
  High school diploma or GED required; advanced education desired
  Five years of increasingly progressive administrative experience required
  Microsoft Office proficiency (Power Point emphasis)
  Strong communication, presentation and writing skills
  Excellent interpersonal skills
  Exceptional organizational skills
