JOB DESCRIPTION

The Retail Showroom Sales Representative provides exceptional customer service to all visitors and customers at the store and sells products that meet the needs of the customer. He or she is extremely knowledgeable about our products, the industry, and our market and represents our store in a way that encourages repeat business.

The ideal candidate for this position has excellent customer service skills, experience tracking budget expenses, and a willingness to learn and stay current with our market and merchandise. He or she must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with customers and vendors. Previous sales management experience a plus. Effective oral and written skills and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

Specific duties include:
  • Become knowledgeable of all store products to exceed customer expectations
  • Professionally greet customers and prospects as they enter the store 
  • Establish rapport with prospects, customers and others to understand service and sales requirements 
  • Qualify each customer, determining their needs, desires and budget
  • Complete orders accurately and completely for materials and installation in a timely manner
  • Ensure availability of merchandise and services and coordinate installation schedules for the customer’s convenience
  • Maintain a safe and clean store environment  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets customers and prospects as they enter the store
  • Establishes a rapport with prospects, customers, and others to understand service and sales requirements
  • Qualifies each customer, determining their needs, desires, and budget
  • Enters customer orders into the Quotes module of RFMS
  • Ensures availability of merchandise and services and coordinates installation schedules for the customer’s convenience
  • Maintains a safe and clean store environment
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong customer service philosophy
  • Previous experience in flooring, interior design and enjoy working with the public
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of flooring products and installation services
  • Results-driven and goal-oriented
