JOB DESCRIPTION

The Career Readiness Coordinator will offer schools technical assistance and support across the continuum of K12 career readiness, particularly in the areas of work-based learning, school-industry partnerships, and school-based career pathway programming and opportunities to earn postsecondary credentials. This position will be on-site in the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, organize, and facilitate meetings with postsecondary providers, secondary school personnel, industry partners, and government personnel.
  • Track and monitor a range of projects, with varying timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop communication documents and emails to inform constituents on opportunities and deadlines associated with projects.
  • Conduct needs analyses with schools related to secondary and postsecondary programming.
  • Write reports and compile data associated with projects.
  • Network and build partner communities related to associated projects.
  • Read, research, and attend presentations to strengthen expertise in the field.
  • Develop webinars and in-person presentations to educate and inform other professionals.
  • Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
  • Contribute to organizational impact and culture through mission-driven and collaborative behavior.
  • Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies.
  • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Other duties, including special projects, as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years minimum in K-12 and/or higher education settings. Preferred experience as administrator or other leadership position in high school setting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s Degree Preferred.
  • Must possess a deep knowledge of K12 career readiness strategy and programming.
  • Have a working understanding of Work-Based Learning, school-based career pathway programming including Next Level Programs of Study, and school partnerships with industry and higher education.
  • Have experience in developing and leading professional development, particularly in a K12 setting with teachers and school administrators.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Have an invested interest in learning and exploring new topics, programs and concepts.
  • Must have a philosophical agreement with the goals and objectives of CELL, including a sincere interest in school reform, change management, and advancing equitable educational outcomes of all Indiana children including students of color, students living in a low-income household, and students who would be first-generation in their family to earn a postsecondary credential.
