Activation of this feature enables Posted positions to automatically re-post again to the job boards we feed to (Indeed, Glassdoor, SimplyHired) every 30 days.
This feature may be permitted by taking the following path: Admin > Settings > System Settings > Enable AutoRefresh
With this system setting active, a pop-up prompt will appear after Posting any new position asking "Do you want to turn AutoRefresh on for this position?" Answering "Yes" will result in the AutoRefresh being turned "On," and once 30 days have elapsed since the original posting date, it will cycle and appear as "Day 0" once more on the job boards. If initially answered "No" you may turn On/Off the AutoRefresh for a position by clicking on it's respective "On" or "Off" switch.
AutoRefresh Frequency
The frequency of our AutoRefresh feature is set to 30 days based on Indeed's job posting regulations; since they're the largest job board we have a feed to, we adhere to their posting guidelines. When you first post a position, hovering over the "Posted Date" will tell you when it will first refresh. After the first refresh, if it continues refreshing, it'll always just say "This position was AutoRefreshed on [DATE]."
Toggling the AutoRefresh feature On/Off for a position will not alter the automatic re-posting date, as it is time/date stamped on the back end of the system. It is possible to Unpost and Repost positions when needed and this is not a problem, but continually doing so to bypass the AutoRefresh date is not advisable. Job boards monitor the traffic received from employers to identify any anomalies or "spamming" of their job boards. Should they deem any source as a practitioner of spamming or posting abuse, they have the ability to stop all postings being included with their job feed, effectively removing job postings completely from their site. If a site has been identified as problematic due to posting practices, it may be denied posting for an extended duration or permanently based on the job board's review.
