After a distinguished career as an Air Force officer, John Guzak was working in HR for a Fortune 100 career where he and his staff spent way too much time reviewing resume after resume. After personally seeing just how inefficient – and ineffective – traditional hiring processes were, John experienced the proverbial “light bulb moment” and realized there was a better way of attracting and hiring top talent.
What’s the first thing you do when you have an earth-shaking epiphany like that? In John’s case, you pester your long-time friend, Brian Clark, until he succumbs to a business version of a bungee jump. From there, you explore every possible funding source (including spare change under couch cushions), scout out a great development team, and learn how to develop really convincing presentations.
