Last week, Team Hyrell headed down to San Antonio, Texas to meet with ProTradeNet Members and Dwyer Group Franchisees for The Dwyer Group Reunion 2013. We were so excited to be included in such a special event and share in the family-friendly fun!
The Dwyer Group is a unique organization that focuses on creating a close corporate culture with a family focused atmosphere – and this overarching theme was present in every aspect of the Reunion.
Over the course of the 3 day event, we met with dozens of franchisees from all of The Dwyer Group concepts (including Aire Serv Heating and Air Conditioning, Glass Doctor, The Grounds Guys, Mr. Appliance, Mr. Electric, Mr. Rooter, and Rainbow International.) Many of the franchisees spoke about the challenges of being a small business owner trying to expand their operations, and the frustrations of finding qualified employees. Whether speaking to a first time Reunion attendee or a veteran pro, we tried to connect with as many franchisees as possible to offer our help and support in their hiring and recruiting needs.
When Jamie and I were not working hard at the trade show, we had the opportunity to take in the sights and sounds of Texas by visiting the San Antonio River Walk and enjoying a complementary joy ride through the Texas hillside thanks to the wonderful accommodations of the JW Marriott San Antonio.
