The Community Library is a collection of pre-written Position Templates and Position Elements that are available for your use. You can import Position Templates from the Community Library into your own Library to create a framework for your job postings.
Position Templates imported from the Community Library must be reviewed/edited at least once in full prior to being able to Assign/Post. Please note - although it's possible to use most position templates out-of-box, it is strongly encouraged to customize positions further based on your organization's needs, standards, and relevant position information on a per-position basis.
Import from the Community:
- Click the Library Tab to begin
- Under the default "Position Templates" sub-tab, click "+New"
- Click "Position Template"
- From the options menu, click "Import a template from the Community Library"
- Expand folders using the (>) and (V) arrows
- Place a checkmark next to any desired template, then click "Import"
All imported templates are automatically placed into your "Imported from Community Library" folder. This folder can not be deleted or modified. To expand its contents and find your newly imported position template, click the arrow icon (>).
Once a template has been imported, it now belongs to your own hiring system Library, independent of the Community Library. You can make any edits you like to an imported template to meet your company’s needs/job requirements.
Edits made to imported templates have no bearing/impact on the Community Library. You may, however, re-import templates from the Community Library at any time; this resource is always available to you and there is no limit on the number of times you can import position templates from the Community Library.
All imported templates must be Edited. After clicking "Done" on "Step 4: Review and Save," you may choose where in your Library to save your customized template.
New Folders
If you are interested in creating additional folders to keep your templates organized, click on "+New" and select "Folder." You may then add your Category Name and click "Add."
Drag-and-Drop Position Templates
To organize your templates, click and hold your mouse on a position template PID or Position Title. While keeping your left mouse held down, scroll to the desired folder. A proper drag-and-drop will show a dotted line divider to indicate your current placement, along with dragging a visual representation of your selected position template. To "drop" the template, click on your desired folder and wait for the screen to refresh itself. You will then see your desired folder's count increase by (1) and your position template will be moved from its original location.
Note: It is not possible to drag-and-drop Position Templates out of or into the Imported from Community Library folder. Only newly imported templates are placed in the folder and once templates have been fully edited/saved at least once before, they must always exist in the general "Position Templates" tab, or in a custom/uniquely named folder.
